PHOTOGRAPHY
So folks, I’ve become interested in photography again and it’s been a long time coming.
I once submitted this gallery to an arts organization. The recruiter told me that the most striking thing about my images is that they contain no people. That was not without cause which I’ll explain in a second. Essentially, the recruiter thought the images were about what I was NOT photographing.
I don’t like having people in my images because I think of it as a kind of respect for people’s space – even in public. Though in recent years I’ve been violating that principle. Still, I find the “absence of a subject” in a photo to be interesting. How often can I take a photo of no one?
